Optimal effect through vertical integration
UVS Offers an integral solution from SENSOR up to STATEGIC level dash boarding.
In this way company goals (KPI’s) on each level can be aligned and bench marked against real actions, budgets, goals and availability.
To bring together IT and OT environments, UVS provides “IIoT Engine”, this solution enables communication between IIoT devices and OpenICM or any Third party software.
OpenICM puts continuous improvement into practice. All modules are designed to improve future actions, advice and planning.
Overall performance and risks. Planning for new investments. Market positioning and liability. Resource management.
- Quality reporting
Are assets and resources available, what risks are we taking, do we need budget. Optimize balance between costs and risks.
- Material management
- Resource management
- P&L Planning
Does operational and maintenance schedules align. Which priorities do I set, What resources do I commit.
- Task planning
- Asset state report
Asset technical and performance information. Permits and procedures to follow. Scheduling tasks, materials and tools.
- Assets information
- Instructions & Procedures
Do you really know which assets you have, which are critical and do you all know which machine is “the big blue thing in the back”. The start of each good asset management system is knowing what assets you have and how to uniformly identify them.
Fast & Accurate asset recording
We will populate OpenICM according to a logical breakdown structure so you can start using OpenICM right away. but you can als do it yourselfs:
Via an easy to use APP you can turn your tablet or smartphone into an asset recording device. Take pictures, select the device type, brand and place in the system and youre done.
After you recorded all relevant assets, OpenICM will provide you with a fist analyses of failuremodes and breakdown structure.
Based on your assesment of risks and impact OpenICM will calculate criticallity, maintenance and stock requirements based on your goals for availabillity and loss acceptance.
- Identify assets (type, name, brand)
- Marking (QR / Code)
- Record in database
- Determine MTTF, Failuremode
- Determine Criticality
- Generate maintenance schedule
- Attach documents
- Clear overview
- One point of information
- Primary maintenance schedule
- Focus points / criticality
- Breakdown structure
- Focus on criticality
- Uniform way of communication
- No missing and unexpected
- Base for predictive maintenance
Your control systems collects a wealth of information, however this information is only available for a few seconds and used to control and monitor your system. Via EVDL you are able to log, analyze and store data from your control system and put it to purpose of predictive maintenance.

So it’s a datalogger? Well no, the EVDL is much more than that... besides logging data (up to 1 Tb) from virtually any control system, the EVDL is able to do (real-time) complex calculation and make analyses on datasets to predict degradation or error situations.
Why is this so special? Because degradation occurs over longer periods in time. The device is capable to find trends and situation that might cause system failure. Besides long term analyses it also does real-time FFT and RMS value analyses.
EVDL combines complex tasks with ease of configuration and programming. The device can be linked to 3th party maintenance system or just any (custom) (cloud based) application.
- Web interface for configuration & visualization
- Ethernet interface
- Native Siemens S7 communication
- OPC-UA client communication
- 32Gb internal flash memory
- Backup battery which enables full operation for at least 5 days without external power supply
- 9 - 24 VDC powersupply required
- Configuration via Bluetooth LE
Options Most common application of the EDVL is to place the EDVL inside an existing control cabinet.
The EDVL has an IP50 qualification hence should be protected. UVS offers standard enclosures including powersupply, wall mount, cable glands and antenna throughput.
Why should you use up all your bandwidth to transfer RAW data for analyses to your local server?
With OpenICM, analyses function are device on your local computer and processing is done locally. This saved a lot of data communication and analyses is done while not even connected to a network.
Typically the EVDL will be connected the a PLC where data is extracted via the native data communication protocol. For this no alteration of the PLC programming or configuration will be necessary. Communication between EDL and PLC is one way, so the EVDL cannot alter anything inside the PLC is it only reading data.
To overcome security issues and change in the existing IT infrastructure, the EVDL sends data via 3G connection to the desired server or host platform.
ERL sensor units can be connected via HF (High speed Fieldbus) or private LoRa / WiFi to the EVDL and so contribute to the data collection.
Easy setup & monitoring
An EVDL can be configured via web interface or Bluetooth LE. Via the Android APP you will be able to configure but also monitor and retrieve data.
The built-in Bluetooth connector enables local (10 meters max.) configuration and readout via smartphone, tablet or laptop. Field service engineers are able to access logging data, machine documents and maintenance history data.
This year UVS Industry Solutions bv. together with its partners Raster and Bosh Rexroth are joining the Dutch leading trade fair for maintenance and asset management Maintenance NEXT2017. You can find us at booth 6.403.
Maintenance NEXT is interesting for those who are owners and operators of assets such as process installations, machines, energy plants, infrastructure, structures, aircraft and vessels, as well as maintenance managers, buyers, engineers and technicians looking for maintenance solutions and innovations.
For her debut edition in the Netherlands, the Maintenance trade fair is working together with industry association NVDO (Dutch Association for Effective Maintenance).
NVDO focuses on the entire Asset Management chain, representing approximately 300,000 maintenance professionals with a total turnover of 30-35 billion euros.
The trade association will support the fair by supplying a part of the knowledge program of which the first speakers and topics are now being announced.
